Ultimo venerdì di azione dell’anno per lo Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team in quel di Jerez, con ottimi risultati. In Superpole infatti Can Oncu ha conquistato la secondo posizione, mentre Alberto Surra l’ottava. Surra è sceso in pista al posto di Aldi Mahendra, che ieri non ha ottenuto dai medici l’ok per tornare in sella alla sua R9.
In mattinata Oncu e Surra sono scesi in pista per l’unico turno di prove libere a disposizione. Can ha messo a referto nove giri firmando il terzo miglior crono, nonostante una caduta senza conseguenze, mentre Surra la P12 con 14 giri totali.
I due piloti dello Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team sono tornati in azione nel pomeriggio per la Superpole. Oncu ha firmato il suo miglior tempo all’undicesimo dei suoi sedici giri totali, conquistando una bellissima seconda posizione. Surra invece ha migliorato il proprio miglior tempo nell’ultimo tentativo disponibile, ottenendo l’ottava casella sullo schieramento di Gara 1.
Ora è tutto pronto per le gare. Domani – ore 15.15 CET - andrà in scena Gara 1, sulla distanza di 17 giri. La corsa sarà trasmessa live su Sky Sport MotoGP, canale 208.

“L’inizio di giornata non è stato perfetto dato che sono caduto, riuscendo comunque ad essere veloce. Nel pomeriggio ho lavorato prima sul passo, per poi riuscire a cogliere una ottima seconda posizione per Gara 1. Ora voglio dare il massimo per finire la stagione nel modo migliore”.

“E’ stato un venerdì positivo. Stamattina abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà ma nel pomeriggio le cose sono migliorate. Domani sarà una gara dura perché siamo tutti vicini, ma noi abbiamo un bel passo di gara e punteremo su questo. Ringrazio il team per il grande supporto, dato che una sessione alla volta ci conosciamo e miglioriamo”.
The Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team enjoyed an excellent final Friday of action for the year at Jerez. In Superpole, Can Oncu took second place, while Alberto Surra finished eighth. Surra took to the track in place of Aldi Mahendra, who yesterday didn’t received the green light by doctors to return to ride his R9.
In the morning, Oncu and Surra took to the track for the only free practice session available. Can completed nine laps and set the third fastest time, despite a crash without consequences, while Surra finished P12 with a total of 14 laps.
The two Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team riders returned to action in the afternoon for Superpole. Oncu set his best time on the eleventh of his sixteen laps, taking a fantastic second place. Surra, on the other hand, improved his best time on his last attempt, securing eighth place on the grid for Race 1.
Now everything is ready for the races. Tomorrow at 15.15 CET, Race 1 will take place over 17 laps.

“The start of the day wasn't perfect as I crashed, but I still managed to be fast. In the afternoon, I worked on my pace first, then managed to secure an excellent second place for Race 1. Now I want to give my all to finish the season in the best possible way”.

“It was a positive Friday. We had some difficulties this morning, but things improved in the afternoon. Tomorrow will be a tough race because we are all close, but we have good race pace and we will focus on that. I would like to thank the team for their great support, as we are getting to know each other and improving in each session”.
