Can Oncu

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)

The Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team season restarts at Magny-Cours

Everything is ready for the Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team's return to the track this weekend at Magny-Cours, for the ninth round of the 2025 World Supersport Championship. The French track is one of the pillars of the WorldSBK calendar, as confirmed by its fifth place in the ranking of tracks that have hosted the highest number of races.

Can Oncu arrives in France ready and focused, with the aim of continuing the excellent results achieved so far. Thanks to five wins and ten podiums in total in the previous rounds, the Turkish rider is second in the overall standings and will be hunting for valuable points at Magny-Cours.

Oncu will not be joined by Aldi Mahendra, who was injured in training, but by Alberto Surra, who achieved in Magny – Cours his only victory to date in the JuniorGP Moto2, the category in which he is competing full-time this season. For the Italian rider, the French round will be a source of knowledge, both about the Yamaha R9 and the championship.

As usual, the weekend will kick off on Friday morning with the only free practice session available, while Superpole will take place in the afternoon. Race 1 and Race 2 will take place on Saturday and Sunday: the first at 15.15 CET, the second at 14.00 CET.

Can Oncu

"I really want to get back on track. The break was useful for recharging my batteries and more, but now it's time to focus on the last part of the season: we are in an excellent position and the goal is to improve further. We have a difficult weekend ahead of us, but I know that the team will help me, as always, to get the most out of the bike”.

Alberto Surra

“For me this weekend will be very useful to start getting to know the bike and the category. The level of the team is really high, so I'm confident in that regard: all that remains is to start working and see where we can get to”.

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)

“Finally, the season is back underway and we are ready to have some fun. Oncu is highly motivated and ready: together we need to achieve good results, and I believe that the potential is there in France too. As I said, I am very sorry for Aldi, but I have faith in Surra. Obviously, we will only be able to understand what his goal will be during the weekend, but given that we are in first place in the team standings, it would be ideal to finish in the points with both riders”.
