Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)
After eleven exciting rounds, the Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team has reached the final round of its season at the iconic Jerez de la Frontera circuit. The Andalusian track evokes fond memories for the Ravenna-based team, which achieved a splendid one-two finish in 2019, a double win in 2020 and a podium finish last season.
In the final round of the season, the team will be reunited with Aldi Mahendra, who will attempt to return to action. On Thursday the young Indonesian rider, who is recovering from an injury sustained in training at the end of August, will undergo a medical check-up to obtain clearance to take to the track. If the outcome is negative, the second R9 of the Yamaha BLU CRU Evan Bros Team will once again be entrusted to Alberto Surra.
Can Oncu, on the other hand, is ready to end his season in the best possible way, already assured of finishing the championship as runner-up, thanks to six wins and a total of 15 podiums. At Jerez, Can will be looking for further confirmation and results, buoyed by the chemistry with the team that has grown race after race.

“I'm ready for this final round: I want to finish my season on a high note together with the team. In the last round we had some ups and downs, encountering a few more problems than expected, so we will try to find the perfect setup and the right confidence to aim for the top positions. As a team, we have one last big goal and I want to help in the best way possible”.
Aldi Mahendra
“Finally, I can start thinking about the race weekend again, although everything will depend on the doctors' final opinion. Obviously, I hope to be able to get back on track and reunite with both my bike and my team”.
Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)
“Jerez is a beautiful track, so we are very happy to end the season in Andalusia. I am very happy that Mahendra will be able to try to race, although everything will depend on Thursday's medical check-up. If Aldi is unable to take to the track, we will end the season with Surra. With Oncu, we want to demonstrate our strength and competitiveness once again. I am very confident given how the season has gone, and I hope to end the season by achieving one last big goal”.
