Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)

Debise makes the most of Race 2 and finishes in the top ten, complicated day for Caricasulo

It was the final day of racing for the EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory team, which secured ninth place in Race 2 at Misano on Sunday with Valentin Debise, whilst Federico Caricasulo had to settle for 21st place.

At the start Debise got off to a good start from pole position, but was overtaken twice, finishing the first lap in third place. As the race progressed, the French rider had to contend with a slight drop in performance, managing the situation as best he could and crossing the chequered flag in P8. However, Debise subsequently received a one-place penalty for exceeding track limits during the final lap, dropping him to ninth place.

Caricasulo also got off to a positive start, but the race became complicated for him after just a few laps, with Federico forced to drop down the order, eventually finishing in 21st place. Following the weekend’s results, Debise occupies second place in the overall standings with 195 points, whilst Caricasulo is in 18th with 27 points.

In the team standings, EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory is second with 222 points, whilst in the manufacturers’ standings, ZXMOTO is third with 197 points. EASTROC ZXMOTO Evan Bros Factory will return to the track from 10 to 12 June at Donington Park, for the eighth round of the 2026 World Supersport Championship

Valentin Debise

“I struggled a bit today. We had to deal with a few minor issues related to the heat again: my lap times alone were very similar to those of the fastest guys, but things got complicated in the pack. It can happen, especially with such a young project, and we still end the weekend on a high note thanks to the wonderful emotions we experienced on Saturday in Race 1, so I’m satisfied”.

Federico Caricasulo

“Unfortunately, the weekend ended on a sour note, but the rise in temperatures didn’t help us and I wasn’t able to achieve the result I’d hoped for. It’s a shame, but once again both I and, above all, Debise have demonstrated the bike’s potential, so I remain optimistic. I want to improve as soon as possible”.

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)

“We can say it was a weekend of mixed fortunes. On Friday and especially Saturday, things went fantastically well, whereas today we had a few more difficulties. Today’s change in temperature didn’t help us, but this must serve as an incentive to work on improving. I’m really pleased with the work of the riders and team members, and we’re leaving Misano with a memorable victory, so we have to smile”.
