ANA CARRASCO AND THE EVAN BROS RACING YAMAHA TEAM ARE WCR WORLD CHAMPIONS!

After six rounds and 12 exciting races, Ana Carrasco and the Evan Bros Racing Yamaha Team's dream has come true! The Spanish rider and the Ravenna-based team have won the title in the first historic edition of the Women's World Championship, writing an indelible page of history.

In the sweetest race of the year Ana got off to a good start, getting into the leading group - made up of six riders - right from the start. In the following laps the Spanish rider controlled the situation. Carrasco started the last lap in fifth position, but on the last corner she made the decisive overtaking move to take P4, which became P3 a few seconds later thanks to Herrera's crash. Ana thus took the podium also in the last race, conquering a splendid title.

Carrasco won the title at the end of a dazzling season, in which the Spanish rider finished on the podium in every race. Four wins, four second places and four thirds for her, who together with the Evan Bros Racing Yamaha Team formed a solid, concrete and above all winning combination. Carrasco finished the season with 244 points, 29 more than her first rival, also taking two pole positions. For Evan Bros Racing this is the third world title in its history: after the double in Supersport between 2019 and 2020 comes a new triumph in a new and challenging category.

Ana Carrasco
“I am super happy to have achieved my goal from the beginning of the year, which was the title! As soon as I crossed the finish line I started thinking about all the most important people: the team, which has worked fantastically and has been the best team in the paddock for me this season, the family and everyone who supports me. I came from difficult years, so to come back fast and win is really important for me. Winning a title is always special, and now that I have won the second one I am over the moon. One of the most special moments was the win at Estoril, for so many reasons, but today is the best day! I still thank the team for everything, we are champions!”.

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)
“When I accepted this new challenge a year ago I perhaps didn't realize its value, in so many ways. To find ourselves winning this title today is something wonderful: I am happy for the team, which has worked so hard and so well, and obviously for Ana, who deserved everything she got. We have added a new title to our trophy cabinet after the two in Supersport, and we couldn't be happier and more satisfied”.
