On the French Friday, which was characterized by low temperatures but no rain, the home rider Valentin Debise took an encouraging seventh place in Superpole, confirming his potential for the rest of the weekend.
In the morning the Frenchman took the track to start working together with the team on his Yamaha YZF - R6, having to deal with a few complications and taking 14th position. In the afternoon Superpole was staged, where Debise immediately moved up in the standings. With 18 laps in total the French rider stopped the clock in 1'40"286, taking seventh position and therefore the third row of the grid for Race 1.
Tomorrow the Evan Bros WorldSSP Yamaha Team and Debise will take to the track at 9.50 CET for the Warm Up, while at 15.15 CET the lights will go out for Race 1, which will be run over a distance of 19 laps.
Valentin Debise "It was a positive first day, as we overcame a few more difficulties than expected and were still fast. From seventh position on the grid we can build a great race: we have to try to improve some details in the Warm Up, then it will be time to give our best”.
