Wonderful 2nd place for Debise in Race 1 in Most!

Glittering day for the Evan Bros WorldSSP Yamaha Team, who once again tasted the sweet flavour of the podium. In Race 1 in Most, Valentin Debise took a beautiful 2nd place, at the end of a very emotional race.

At the start Debise got off in the right way, holding fourth position and staying in contact with the podium zone. In the second part of the race, the French rider was able to fight for second place together with Montella and Manzi, going for it all on the last lap. Here Valentin, third at the start of the lap, managed to take second place with a masterful overtaking move on Manzi, and kept it until the chequered flag.

For Debise this is the best result of the season, as well as the third podium in this 2024, which brings him just one point behind the fourth position in the championship standings. Tomorrow the Evan Bros WorldSSP Yamaha Team and the French rider will be back on track for Race 2, which is scheduled for 15.15 CET and where Debise will again start from the fourth row, after setting the fourth fastest lap of the race.

Valentin Debise
"It was a difficult race, also because of the higher temperatures than yesterday, for which we changed the setup slightly. In the middle of the race I made a few mistakes, but after making up ground on those ahead of me, I felt to have the potential to attack and so I did. The final battle was exciting, we overtook each other aggressively and correctly, and it went in the best way for us. We are getting the results we hoped for, and we want to continue like this. Thanks to the team for their great work, I am really happy and ready for tomorrow”.

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)
"Fantastic day, but I think I can say it's been a fantastic weekend so far. Right from FP1 we started off on the right foot, and in Superpole we missed the front row by nothing. For the race Valentin knew that he had the right pace to aim high: he was good in the middle of the race in making up ground on those ahead of him, and in the battle of the last lap he performed a masterpiece. This result motivates us and repays our efforts”.
