Debise within touching distance of the podium in Race 1 in Misano

Absolute top performance for the Evan Bros Racing Yamaha Team and Valentin Debise in Race 1 in Misano, with the Frenchman able to take 4th place at the end of a thrilling and brilliant race.

After finishing the Warm Up in 4th position the French rider took to the track for Race 1. Despite a complicated start, Valentin managed to conquer fourth position during the second lap, starting his recovery on the third position occupied by his brand mate Manzi.

Thanks also to the fastest lap of the race, improved by a rival only at the end, Debise managed to reach Manzi before the middle of the race, looking for the best moment to attack. The passing laps, however, did not help the Frenchman, who thus ended the race in fourth position, gaining more than precious points for the general classification, where he now occupies sixth place.

Tomorrow there will be another opportunity to shine: at 15.15 the lights will go out for Race 2, where Debise will start from the front row, thanks to the third best time set in today's race.

"I got off to a really bad start, so I found myself in traffic and had to catch up. All the starts done during the practices went well, while the only one that mattered did not go as I had hoped. However, I managed to make up ground quickly, getting back in Manzi's slipstream and therefore in the fight for the podium. At the end I didn't have the potential to attack, and after a few mistakes I decided to finish the race and take P4. I wanted to give the team a podium in its home race, but we will try again tomorrow".
