First feedback for Mantovani and Fernandez in Barcelona

First day of testing for the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team, busy at the Barcelona circuit for the fourth round of the 2023 Supersport World Championship. Under the Catalan sun Andrea Mantovani and wild card Adrian Fernandez began to take the measures of bike and track, obtaining in the combined classification of the two sessions held the 19th and 22nd position.

Day 1 began with FP1, where Mantovani put in 20 laps, being among the most present on the track and setting the 17th fastest time. First laps also for Fernandez, who saw his best time cancelled right at the end - due to track limits - and ended the session in P25.

In the afternoon FP2 was staged, where both Mantovani and Fernandez managed to significantly improve on their best times. Andrea completed 19 laps with 18th position, Fernandez 20 with 21st, lowering his own best lap by over a second.

Once the free practice sessions are over, it is time to get serious. Tomorrow in fact the first day of racing will be staged, with Superpole scheduled for 10.25 and especially Race 1, which will start at 15.15 and will last 18 laps.

Andrea Mantovani - P19:
"It was a useful first day in terms of work done, even if the result is not fully satisfactory. I managed to improve between FP1 and FP2, which is positive, but now we have to figure out how to take further steps forward so that we can aim for something important in the race".

Adrian Fernandez - P22:
"I am very happy with this first day. I started to understand the bike and tyres, and the team really helped me to do this quickly. We have some work to do ahead of tomorrow, but we are on the right way”.
