Importanti passi avanti per il BARDAHL Evan Bros. WorldSSP Team nei test di Almeria

Positive indications for the future for the BARDAHL Evan Bros. WorldSSP Team at the end of the first two days of testing of the new year, held at the Almeria circuit. The test was initially supposed to take place at the Jerez - Angel Nieto circuit, but given the adverse weather conditions the team, in agreement with rider Andrea Locatelli, decided to move to the nearby Almeria circuit, being able to benefit from a milder climate and especially a dry track.

During the first day Locatelli, for the first time on track with the number he will use during the season, the 55, regained confidence with his Yamaha YZF-R6, and was able for the first time to test the Pirelli slick tyres, very different from the tyres used in his last seasons. During the day Locatelli completed 56 laps, constantly improving his lap times and working on the set-up of his bike.

In Day-2 the weather worsened slightly, allowing the team to take full advantage of only the first half of the day. Despite this Locatelli was able to complete around 40 laps, concentrating his work on the cycling of his Yamaha. In the final stages of the session Andrea, assisted by his crew chief Mauro Pellegrini and the whole team, was able to benefit of the great progress made in terms of set-up, setting excellent lap times in relation to the track conditions.

The appointment is now scheduled for Sunday 26th and Monday 27th January, when the BARDAHL Evan Bros. WorldSSP Team will be back on track for a new two-day test session on the demanding Portimao circuit.

Andrea Locatelli: "It's been a good couple of days. I was able to get to know the bike and the team better, with whom I feel very good. I had fun on the bike, even though the conditions were rarely optimal, and I think we are on the right way. Now I am waiting to get on track at Portimao, a track that I don't know and that I really want to discover".

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "We are satisfied with these two days of testing for many reasons, for example the fact that Andrea was able to try Pirelli slick tyres for the first time, appreciating them lap after lap. The work in the box was done in the right way and with the right climate, we have progressed over the course of the days and this is what is important. Andrea is a very professional rider with a great desire to work and improve".
